• Leo has two siblings; an older sister named Summer and a younger brother named Patrick. They both have families who he has never met.

• Although he didn't realise it at the time, Leo fell in love with Travis very soon after meeting him. It took him eight years to come to terms with it. In this time, he never once made a sexual advance on him, despite happily sleeping with many other of Grimm's employees.
• Leo refers to Travis as his 'better half' when speaking to other's about their relationship. While it might seem to be corny, it is actually because Leo genuinely believes that Travis is a much better person than he is.
• Travis is Leo's only true weakness. In the situation where Travis' life is at risk, Leo would sacrifice whatever necessary to keep him safe; information, someone else's life, even his own if the situation calls for it.
• Leo was 23-24 years old the first time he killed someone. It was an accident and he doesn't know what caused him to snap, but he does remember the feel of beating a man to death with his bare hands. He also feels no remorse whatsoever.
• Leo was in the military but was dishonourably discharged after turning on and injuring three men in his unit.
• Leo has worked for Grimm for 14 years. He was assigned the role of The Cowardly Lion within The Wizard Of Oz unit.
• Leo has ticklish ribs. Travis and Juliette are the only ones who are ever allowed to get away with touching them.
